I can’t express how much I despise that we, the rest of the world, have to deal with what is fundamentally a US problem (broken institutions that made possible to elect Trump twice)

I don’t want to think about Trump, I don’t want to waste my time on Trump, and yet, I’m kind of forced to do both

Trump keeps trying to deny climate change and denigrate clean energy because he knows that decarbonizing to net zero would drain the source of authoritarian power.

Climate silence only helps Trump.
Trump: "There are windmills all over Europe. There are windmills all over the place. And they are losers. One thing I've noticed is that the more windmills a country has, the more money that country loses, and the worse that country is doing. I haven't been able to find any wind farms in China."

How is it that so many people think that authoritarianism is a way to bypass completely public opinion?

Tests ran by consumer organisations across Europe paint a worrying picture: 69% of 162 products from Shein and Temu (chargers, toys, jewellery) destined for EU consumers are illegal and unsafe.

It is surprising and good to see this getting coverage. I don't think it'll inspire any media outlets to delete their accounts but man I didn't even expect articles about this to exist.

I feel like we’re underreacting to the Trump regime kidnapping the leader of a sovereign nation. If another country did that, we would think it’s totally unhinged.

Over and over the US inflicts obscene violence against the global South, in flagrant violation of international law, to maintain the conditions for capital accumulation for its decadent billionaire class. It's disgusting and intolerable. We cannot continue to accept this.

Russia: it's OK to seize regions of Ukraine
China: it's OK to seize Taiwan (for starters)
North Korea: it's OK to seize South Korea
Greenland: a future cakewalk for US special forces
Saudi Arabia: Yemen, just take it.
Israel: it's OK to seize the West Bank and Lebanon

That's the Venezuela message

Genuinely wonder how European and Irish leaders do respond to this.

How are Denmark, Greenland or indeed the people of Ukraine and Taiwan feeling too?

After this, the EU should absolutely proceed on the assumption that Trump meant what he said about Greenland. Nothing is off the table anymore.
