Boards Chair here - before our BOT passed a motion affirming our commitment to Te Tiriti, I received emails from parents and teachers urging the board on.

The union never said a word.

Amazing that reaffirming a commitment to Te Tiriti is viewed as "anti-govt" (his words)

I’ve been arguing for many years that the entrenched attitudes of financialisation and generic managerial governance norms leaning towards corporate rule will prevent any lasting reform. These people will continually recreate the same systems over and over again whether public or private.

So we are paying $46m more for smaller ferries that will be delivered 4-5 years later than IREX, but still have no idea on port-side costs apart from NACT1 continuing the Kiwi-way tradition of do absolutely minimum rather than properly invest in a 100 year asset....
