As a military brat, I always associated a fascination with the military as being right wing coded, and therefore never engaged with it.

The Blackwater gig gave me serious second thoughts. My private conspiracy theory right now is that if the conservatives can’t win a seat by voter suppression or gerrymandering, they will run sleeper agents wherever they can.
