The best writing I’ve ever done was a line by line exegesis of the second inaugural. A beautiful, courageous speech. Incredible to imagine a leader in wartime who could stand in front of his country and say, “we deserve to die for the crimes we have allowed.”

Wow who could’ve guessed that this would happen

It’s almost as if USAID was a pillar of American soft power and influence in the world

It’s almost as if it was entirely predictable that America’s adversaries would work to fill the void left by USAID’s destruction

They claim they can snatch people up, put them on planes, and deport them to a country run by an authoritarian, where those people will be forced to work slave labor at an inhumane prison. All without due process, and in defiance of federal courts.

The hypotheticals are over. This is the nightmare.

Can’t stop thinking about all the people who’ve lost their jobs. Losing your job in this country, it’s like annihilation—not least because it usually means losing health care, too. And for so many people, their entire sector has been eviscerated. I wouldn’t be able to feed my kids. It’s terrifying.

I am not sure what rich means or feels like to the blood sucking oligarchs who are trying to dismantle our country, but my rich is having a kitchen dance party with my partner and 2 dogs while we make tiramisu on a Thursday night.

I can confirm that this is all I’d ever need.

Today I found out it went to a website selling swastika T-shirts.

This was a Superbowl ad.

And it was to a website selling swastika T-shirts.

I feel like I'm losing my mind.
