The Trump administration is planning to cancel its lease at a government laboratory in Hawaii, a site where scientists support key observations of surging greenhouse gas levels in the atmosphere, according to a list obtained by Democratic members of Congress and shared with The Post.
Trump moves to close facility that helps track planet-warming pollution
The lab is connected to the Mauna Loa Observatory, where scientists gather data to produce the Keeling Curve, a chart on the daily status of atmospheric carbon dioxide concentrations.

Wow. Watch this from Zohran Mamdani. It looks like the exact "fight" and "conviction" people are hopelessly asking for from the people in charge of the Democratic party:

I need y'all to sit with this headline and understand what is being done to our community. They're trying to criminalize our very existence.

This is a campaign of eradication.

i’m sorry, i’m tired of this shit. there was no pronoun policing. i have encountered exactly three or four land acknowledgments in like ten years, and the most you’ll hear about “intersectionality” is in liberal nonprofits. this is just freefloating resentment masquerading as analysis.
Elissa Slotkin told Tim Alberta why her response to Trump's joint address did not touch on a laundry list of priorities from various advocacy groups.

before trans participation in sports was banned in utah in 2022:

• 4/75,000 school athletes were trans

• 1/75,000 was a trans girl

not that it’s ever been about sports or numbers and not that the number matters even a little but tuberville’s bullshit is *so* outrageously untrue.
Tommy Tuberville: "We're getting to a point where women and girls sports are getting ready to be extinct. Because already in states across this country, we have high school teams that are made up of totally boys participating against girls."

Where is this happening?

the 2 AI critiques that some folks have a harder time accepting:

1. Quality - there’s a Dunning-Kruger effect where folks not familiar w/ a topic *can’t* notice the AI is bad/wrong

2. Externalities - climate & past/future worker harms (IP/layoffs) don’t feel real to many

are all I care about
