Saw Snakes on a Plane in the theater the day it came out. Packed theater, so much fun.
Raising the always fun question: What are your most memorable theater-going experiences?

Mine also include The Matrix, Blair Witch, and being way too stoned in Belgium when Fellowship of the Ring was sold out so we sat in the back row for Mulholland Drive instead.
It was hands-down one of the most memorable theater-going experiences I can remember, a collective 30-minute butt-clench/armrest-grab for the final climb. And we knew he lived! Wild.

If I were editing a college president’s guest essay about the importance of colleges hosting “difficult speakers,” I would ask her to clarify how her argument squares with her history of expelling students for protesting, and why speakers should be treated better than her own students.

That both of Turning Point USA’s founders are dead from public health crises their organization worked hard to enable is a parable for our time.

This is 100% true and also last night I realized I had some tomatoes I needed to use before they went bad so I sliced em up put em on some toast with Asiago and sprinkled fancy salt on them. 🤌🏻 amazing.
Every kitchen should have Diamond Kosher Salt, impossibly-cheap iodized salt for putting in pasta water and such, and some kind of weird, flaky salt that's for when you're feeling fancy and pretty much nothing else.

At no point in this entire article of 16 paragraphs does ABC mention that another cop killed this cop by shooting her in the back. Nor does it mention the name of the cop who killed this cop. Nor does it mention that the civilians involved never fired at them.

ABC might as well be state media.

I know that this is like those “feel-good” stories about the 12-year-old who held a garage sale or something to pay for his mom’s cancer treatment and the whole neighborhood came together to raise the funds (🥹) because we live in a dystopian hellscape that can’t care for its citizens (😡). But. 🥹

In a shocking turn of events, many of the people who said they wanted "free speech" actually just wanted to be the ones in charge of which speech is free.
UPDATE—Mahmoud's attorney says they do NOT know where he is.
They were first told he was sent to an ICE facility in Elizabeth, NJ. But when his 8-month-pregnant wife tried to visit him, she was told he's not there.
They've received reports he may be sent as far away as Louisiana.

In case you missed it, the day before Mahmoud Khalil’s detention by Ice none other than Shai Davidai tweeted at Rubio demanding his deportation.

And once he was apprehended, he felt these were legit “consequences” for him protesting.

A faculty member @columbiauniversity.bsky.social the shameful.

Very grateful that when I got married my ex was such a whiny baby about me not wanting to unilaterally take his last name that I just never changed my name at all.
It's not complicated. They're just trying to stop women from being able to vote.
