If these “officers” had a warrant or other legal reason for arresting this man, the video wouldn’t have ended this way. This proves they are just kidnapping random people off the street. These people are a danger to the public and should be arrested and charged.

This means that, for example, if you run your own relay, most users are ultimately going to be viewing the content served from that relay via the Bluesky app view. Which means that they will be subject to Bluesky's questionable and inconsistent moderation policies.

I am specifically referring to the relay and the app view. I understand that these can *technically* be decentralized, but the way the pieces of the system work together mean that Bluesky is always to control the single most popular relay and app view for the vast majority of users.

Note that you could work on changing those architectural decisions! And if you solved those problems, then you'd be right to talk about how you can just go host your own services. But it's convenient for Bluesky to keep it as is, so you won't.

Your network is not decentralized. There are several currently-centralized single points of failure, owned and operated by Bluesky the company, and the architectural decisions that your team made means it's unlikely that will change soon. Stop trying to mislead people.

I understand that concern and respect it, but frankly, people need to step up to let these thugs know that body-slamming a woman half your size for no reason is not OK.

I would donate money in a heartbeat for the legal defense, lost wages, etc of anyone who did this. I suspect others would too.

The car is driving itself" and then when they unveiled Semi in 2017 - I tweeted out and honestly thought that trucking industry is changed forever and it doesn't make sense to be starting in trucking industry. It's almost end of 2025 and either nothing out of it or just a small part of it panned out.
I think we all have become hyper-optimistic on technology. We want this tech to work and we want it to change the world in some fundamental way, but either things are moving very slowly or not at all.
