The reports of violence, arbitrary arrests, and intimidation tactics by the Iranian regime against its own people are profoundly concerning. Canada strongly condemns the killing of protesters, and urges Iran to allow for freedom of expression and peaceful assembly without fear of reprisal.

It is so interesting seeing the average person eat up that Carney speech at Davos the other day. His words and his actions are at odds with one another not to mention leaving out that neoliberalism is the underlying cause for the death of the rules based order.

My friends father was killed in Afghanistan, many of my father's friends were killed or injured. For years I had a photo on my fridge of my best friend's father crying with smoke in the background after a friendly fire incident by a US airman killed 3 and injured 8 Canadians.

It's kinda amazing the depth and breadth of the positive reaction to the Carney Davos speech. I get it - Canadians like when int'l people laud us. But Carney said similar things during the election campaign and we've seen how he's governed since. I'm almost stupefied by how naive everyone is being.
