This is such an accurate analogy that it's ridiculous.

“But it’s now clear Trump doesn’t even understand why healthcare relies on insurance, why we can’t pay medical expenses out of pocket. Hint: You never know when you’ll need expensive treatment, but should the need arise, only the ultra-wealthy can come up with the cash.”
Republicans Are Damaged by Their Own Cruelty
They’re pathologically unwilling to help Americans in need — and Democrats should hammer this home

Listen, think what you want about Hakeem Jeffries. I know I’ve had my fair share of disagreements.

But even after Schumer caved and betrayed all of us, Hakeem is whipping votes on the House floor to try and block this shitty deal and protect Americans’ healthcare. That’s worth a lot.

Tim Kaine said this 3 weeks ago.."an offer to hold a vote is "empty" because it doesn't guarantee a vote would actually happen in both the House and Senate, nor does it ensure any agreement reached would be honored." Tim Kaine is an abject failure. He and the other 7 sold out the American People.

Dear Senate Dems: You betrayed us; like a cheating partner, you have played us for fools. We had your back. We were willing to fight, to sacrifice, to literally put our lives on the line for you. And you betrayed us. And, Chuck, I will never forgive you.

Complicit and Incompetent

Those that believe everything will fall for anything.
Shaheen: "We've heard from a number of our colleagues on the other side of the aisle that they're willing to come to the table, they're willing to work with us once the govt is open to get this done. We've heard the same thing from the White House. So now we'll see if they're really gonna work w/us"

Actually “complicit and incompetent” has a truer ring to it.
Once again tapping the “complicit not incompetent” sign

What is the point of a political party that will not fight for the people?

These 8 useless Democratic Senators are all wealthy and have feathered themselves a lovely retirement nest.

They don't need to be in these positions anymore.

They can amble away into the privileged nothingness that defines their spinelessness and lack of courage.

Demand more and better, folks.

Here's a common thread. They are all spineless cowards who caved because their corporate donors told them to.
Eight Senate Democratic Caucus members broke ranks Sunday and voted to advance a deal to reopen the government.

There are few obvious threads connecting the group who broke the partisan impasse this time.
