Hi friends! I need advice:

a dear friend and art critic is asking me for advice on where to digitize some material (see pics). 4 reels of what we think is 16mm film.

It's believed to be an unfinished documentary that is part of an unplaced archive. They'll pay! Just want to know where to go

When I was in college, I went to an on campus women’s gymnastics match. In the middle of her floor routine, one of the gymnast looked over her shoulder and winked to the crowd. I was at least a dozen rows back, and I felt it.

One thing I've been learning about is how my brother's ADHD interface with his developmental delays. It's really frustrating at times because he doesn't comprehend what he's doing and the impulse control can be very destructive and he'll start yelling. But I know he's not a bad person.

Mississippi's new social media age-verification law has now forced BlueSky to block Mississippi IP addresses.

Our Mississippi Free Press team is now urgently having to grapple with what that means for our audience—and for press freedom.

My new editorial:
Ed Note | State Law Compels BlueSky to Block Mississippi IPs
Ashton Pittman writes about how Mississippi’s social media age-verification law prompted BlueSky to block access to Mississippi IP addresses.

I'm not saying you need to update your LinkedIn profile, but I am saying the last few writing gigs I've gotten have come from editors reaching out to me on LinkedIn. Do what you want with that information.

I will never understand people who intentionally move to a city and then complain about basic-ass City Things.

There were people giggle-squealing outside my building at 11:00 PM, it's crowded, things are more expensive here than in the suburb I grew up in, etc.

Like.

yes.

that's what a city is.

This social media user from out of state believes the problem with the L8 is dwell time.
A significant part of this is unavoidable due to multi-passenger vehicle dwell time, time spent stopped picking up & dropping off passengers.

Multiple small transit vehicles with short dwell times attract more drivers away from cars than large transit vehicles with a huge amount of dwell time.

A PENNY for your thoughts, who do you think she would deem WORTHy as her dom?
I really want to write an Amanda Waller comic for the sole purpose of revealing that she is really into BDSM and is a submissive.

Like it makes sense that a woman who has so much power would get off on submitting that power for a few hours or a weekend.

Exploring that would be my Black Label book.

I mean, it’s also that masculinity in America has been defined solely (and parasitically) in opposition to femininity for so long that as the norms for femininity (or at least, female-ness) get expanded, masculinity further destabilizes.
It is a confusing time for masculinity because masculinity is deliberately ill-defined and contested, so that men are forever expected to be performing whatever the current version of masculinity is or fear being excluded — as always
