We are actually living in a time where some Christians see mercy as offensive, empathy as a sin, and diversity, equity, and inclusion as a threat.

“Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness.” -Isaiah 5:20

Lord, have mercy.

Christopher Paul Curtis’ ‘The Watsons Go to Birmingham – 1963’ is a story of Black joy & resilience despite the heavy pain of racism. As Black history is under attack, literature like Curtis’ is more important than ever. Join me at 11a ET for the latest #VelshiBannedBookClub #Velshi

My dad was tortured by the Gestapo for 4 days and thrown in a concentration camp for being in the Norwegian Resistance. Growing up, he would tell me things he learned in the Resistance. I thought, I'm never going to need this stuff. Here's some of those things #Thread

Only one media outlet is reporting that LA Mayor Karen Bass' mic was turned off during the roundtable with Donald Trump last night.

None of them are reporting that they physically took away her microphone too because she kept trying to fact check him.

Shameful.

These people don’t give a damn about merit. If they even know what it is. Mediocrity is a theme.
His 1st day at the office. Pete Hegseth is proof that ending DEI has nothing to do with merit. Pete is not qualified to be the manager on a food truck.

As long as I work in educational publishing, the books I produce will include Black history.
So what happens when they dismantle public education, ban specific books, abolish Black History Month, gut the 14th & 19th amendment, complete the white washing of MLK Day, and bring back Aunt Jemima?

I've got that happening within the next 2-3yrs

Elise Stefanik doesn’t have a good answer for why neo-Nazis are celebrating what sure looked like a Hitler salute from the president’s biggest ally.

They’re wasting no time assaulting freedom.

If the incoming administration refuses to send $$$ CA to help with the wildfire disaster, I don’t think CA should send the federal government any tax $$$. They should keep every penny to assist its citizens. Period. #lawildfires
