Autistic people get a lot of crap for being "rigid" but if you understand how we're experiencing the world, certain things are legitimately a big deal. Family-only and family + friends are completely different and it's not even a debate.
If you have autistic relatives for the love of GOD don’t invite them to a family only thing and then drop extra guests on them and make THEM feel like an asshole if they don’t want to come anymore. You’ve fundamentally changed the thing you’ve invited them to.

I think I will try SketchUp. AutoCAD is too expensive. Even the LT versions of AutoCAD and Revit cost over $1,000 with tax for Canadians. Way too expensive for my budget and has made me anxious to use the trials. Although the AutoCAD LT trial is only good for 15 days. What do you think?

Understanding that you're autistic later in life isn't about discovering someone new.

It's about uncovering who you've always been.

You need a space, a team, and the tools.

Does anyone know anything about AutoCAD? A counsellor suggested I download the software. After 15 days, there are a bunch of options. I wonder what would be suggested for a beginner who wants to go into an Architecture program in Fall 2026. I would be doing it as prep work for the program. Thanks!

I don't enjoy talking about myself much, but I was recently on the below podcast where I talked about myself very much. It was a lovely experience and I encourage anyone who's interested in ADHD, creative endeavours, or after some Power Ranger tidbits, to listen

Apparently, I know skills of confident speakers. Only thing is currently I depend on notes. Yes, I do look up but I have trouble memorizing. I am also nervous of recording myself. Okay, I do have some things to work on. That's just fine!

I just finished the Advanced Math course. Feels great to be done all the assignments. Final grades should be in, in the next few days. The Pre-Calculus math course will be coming soon. Look forward to that one as well.

One of the overlooked aspects of sharing a journey with autism is loneliness.

“Society” often rejects anything that is perceived as different or disabled.

Parents loose fair weather friends & autistic people struggle to make or keep friends.

Noticed that one of the colleges I am interested in attending has a waitlist for it January startdate. This is good news as there's enough interest to keep it going. If my Math marks are good enough in my upgrading courses then it might just be the place where I go.
