Welcome to Britain, a country so short of dentists that an MP's 87-year-old mum pulled her teeth out with pliers. Also a country with thousands of foreign-qualified dentists who can’t work until they pass an exam so oversubscribed it’s like trying to book Glasto tickets. www.ft.com/content/f4e5...

Worth reading for lots of reasons, but particularly because it closes with something I see in my work and travels speaking on writing and AI. Many, maybe most students do not want AI-mediated schooling or lives. We can offer them something better. www.currentaffairs.org/news/ai-is-d...
AI is Destroying the University and Learning Itself
Students use AI to write papers, professors use AI to grade them, degrees become meaningless, and tech companies make fortunes. Welcome to the death of higher education.

Oh my Gosh.

The number of boys I snogged, and bad decisions I made, at Love Shack in this club (The Coven) is approximately one of those uncountable infinities. Maybe Aleph 2 or even 3.

I don’t know who created this, someone sent it to me, but I thought it was one of the funniest and most apt comments on Trump’s peace price. For those not British, Jimmy Saville (the UK’s most notorious sex offender) used to have a kids show where he ‘fixed’ their dreams. A huge show in its day.

✅ Using race to profile people on the street to detain for immigration sweeps

✅ Using race to disenfranchise minorities in elecciones

The only consistency is white supremacy.

Elon Musk's legacy of failure, destruction and unnecessary deaths. He's a real psychopath.
Difficult to overstate how profound a failure DOGE was. Spending in FY2025 was not only than in FY2024 – but higher than it was projected to be when Trump first took office.*

The little bit of spending DOGE cut has already killed hundreds of thousands and will eventually lead to millions of deaths.
Bye bye, “DOGE”.

It no longer exists as a “centralized entity”, according to the Office of Personnel Management.
