While the country's government claims the state-run app—which can track and block lost or stolen phones—is ultimately a tool to help consumers, privacy advocates argue that it could easily be repurposed for surveillance.

Bad news for Hegseth, it turns out the Pentagon is a big bureaucracy filled with people who got there because they know how to fight bureaucratic battles and they will wait for you to lie about something then leak details about it. Who knew?
A most important question on the Sept. 2 double-tap strike is who had "target engagement authority" (TEA).

Wall Street Journal:

"A Defense Department official ... said Hegseth was the 'target engagement authority,' the key figure who authorized the strike."

To recap this week:
•Trump fires 8 immigration judges
•DHS tweets "remigration now,"—an actual Nazi policy
•DHS defies court order & deports a 19-year-old college student
•Trump regime removes report on Missing & Murdered Indigenous women, calling it "DEI"

This is an overt policy of white supremacy

This whole article is a stunning illustration of how data centres are incentivising new fossil infrastructure:

Remember how Trump salivated over the "beachfront property" in Gaza

Well, just like he wanted to take advantage of the conflict there, he's now looking to profit-with Russia-over the people killed in the Ukraine war

Because maybe-he thinks-that'll get him billions AND a Nobel Peace Prize
The Trump administration's corruption has extended to selling out Ukraine—and America's interests—to Russia so that the Trump family and their friends can make a few bucks.

Must-read reporting from @wsj.com this weekend. www.wsj.com/world/russia...

This smells like outright collusion with Russia to me. Trump shrugs it off as what a dealmaker does: sell the plan to Ukraine, sell the plan to Russia. He says “we must end this war” and thinks he deserves the Nobel Prize??? Not if it's at the cost of Ukraine’s sovereignty.
