DC is a walkable, livable, vibrant city in which I have never felt unsafe anywhere (and I have been off the beaten track plenty).
It is one of my favorite places to visit, and this attack on it by the prime perpetrator of crime, bloodshed, bedlam, and squalor in our country is a travesty.
