The final post in my Transgressive Science Fiction series is more political in nature. Imagine a nation where no group has absolute majority—not by race, faith, nor ethnicity—and then compare it to ethnic states. Which is superior? tinyurl.com/4bykzech 1/8

This em-dash thing is just another case of laziness. People want a SIMPLE criterion to detect AI. They won’t accept that no simple rule would do. It will always be the forest you must look at yo detect AI, never the trees.
Periodically the discussion on AI turns to em-dashes being a sign of AI generated text, and, because I was curious, I searched to see how many em-dashes were in some of my recent stories.
# of em-dashes in various stories:

Colors of the Immortal Palette: 81

If a Digitized Tree Falls: 39

Carnival Nine: 36

Unfinished Architectures of the Human-Fae War: 35

Our Chatbots Said "I Love You," Shall We Meet?: 14

Cyberhumans, their minds always online, can speak any language fluently. In reality, they speak hodgepodge of languages in almost every sentence. But everyone has a favored language, usually related to their heritage—which can be anything.

Nothing clever, it's on the tin. Languages: just one? Several? Did it (or plural) evolve from another language in your world as something mutually intelligible or is it just a regional dialect?

My Bk 1’s four main characters live at a cutthroat military school, where the survival pressure pushes them into tight teams that usually become polyamorous families.

The stress is constant, from vicious rivalry to training bordering on torture. They release it with each other.

Life can be stressful sometimes. So, how does your character handle stress?

Do they talk it out? Drink? Meditate? Fight? Go for a run? Bottle it up indefinitely? Have a good cry?

Is it a healthy technique?

$11M to actual campaigns (1.6%)

People just want to find a “simple” way to tell if something has been written by an AI. But that makes light of the human ability to judge the whole. It will always be the forest, never any tree. Always the whole style, never a grammar idiosyncrasy.

"-le" is a forgotten suffix in English - it's integrated so far into words that we no longer register it. It indicates continuousness: to sparkLE is to repeatedly spark, to scribbLE is to continuously scribe, etc.

Which implies that to chortLE is to repeatedly do something called a chort.
