He’s just reracking what he’s been saying about tariffs since at least the 1990s. He’s just old and cognitively decrepit now so his needle is stuck and he just keeps repeating the same things again and again.
The way Trump talks about the problems he caused by unilaterally imposing tariffs is fairly insane, even by his standards.

One of the reasons I think it’s also essential to not call the boat strikes “war crimes” but “crimes against humanity,” is that it emphasizes that Trump and Hegseth are acting extra-constitutionally and are not entitled to any shield from the courts. This systematic murder of civilians is illegal.
