Petition: Allow transgender people to self-identify their legal gender.
We believe the government should change legislation to make it easier for trans people of all ages to change their legal gender without an official diagnosis of gender dysphoria.

But it's NOT a 'Blanket' ban as that would have to surely include cis patients, aka ALL patients, not merely Transgender people, that's what constitutes a'Blanket' ban surely. Which means its a selective deacrimatory ban.

Afaik, the CHM’s position is that the government lacks the power to interfere with a doctor’s decision to prescribe medication so there must be a total ban. This is what we refer to in public law as Wednesbury unreasonableness.

I have known about the new CPS guidance on 'deception as to sex' for a few days, and I have deliberately held off on talking about it publicly whilst I discussed with some experts, but it looks like people have noticed.

Here is a thread.

This, by itself, is proof that Wes Streeting and this 🇬🇧 Labour government are continuing an anti trans culture war.

This cannot be about safety because all those other groups taking puberty blockers are safe taking them (and don’t “become trans” or whatever silly claim is made).

1. Today at the Supreme Court, Amy Coney Barrett emerged as a potential wild card, with at least one attorney in other LGBTQ+ cases expressing her questioning was curious.

In particular, she seemed surprised to learn about the history of anti-crossdressing laws.

Assigned media is great and everyone should read their reporting. They are doing good, on the ground, trans-centric journalism.
How does a transgender news outlet cover a major national story?

We center trans voices, and we tell the truth without showing excessive deference to the justices who are holding our lives in the balance.

An important example of how the media treated Section 28 compared with how the media is treating the puberty blocker ban.

Ian McKellen was on primetime BBC TV to criticize Section 38 while no trans person has been allowed to do the same thing in ANY mainstream media about the puberty blocker ban.
Came across this the other day and it's wild how the line of questioning is a 1:1 of the "gender critical" movement.
