I've always approached Patreon as "hey, your stuff is cool, here's five bucks, keep up the good work", with no expectation of receiving anything in return. It's a bummer that isn't the general vibe.
I think we, as a culture, have really done ourselves a disservice by letting Patreon get positioned as a service people pay for.
Patreon isn't supposed to be about paying for access to certain works. It's supposed to be about investing in creators so those works can exist.

If you’re middle aged you will need Tdap, MMR, and the Shingles vacc, and don’t forget to get the most recent Covid vacc too. Tdap and MMR are fine, Shingles will knock you on your ass for days, and don’t forget to take some diphenhydramine (Benadryl etc) before your Covid shot for better recovery
