Level 28. He/Him. I'm into the beauty of nature. Queer, pagan, stoner, leftist. Aspiring to okayness. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

I'm a whole, multifaceted person and I'm too tired to keep up multiple profiles so I post politics, music/art stuff, and my freak shit on main.

I've decided not to worry about it being off-putting.

I also post way too frequently, and that's plenty off-putting all on its own.
I want more love in my life. More joy, more whimsy, more wonder, more art.

I'd like to achieve these things without spending money (bc I don't have that).

I am unsure where to start, but I think that will be my goal for 2027.

Most of us grew up with nothing and then became adults with nothing. Really no surprise
We grew up being told "you'll get more conservative as you age" but it turns out becoming more conservative isn't about aging it's about accruing wealth, which we didn't do as we aged because for most of us home ownership was out of reach

the invasion of Afghanistan is among the most horrific recent chapters of the long history of elite impunity in the US. this coda is grim but fitting - the govt practically explicitly affirming that it should only be Afghans who live with the consequences amid fading public memory of the atrocity
It didn’t even take 6 hours.

The "DOGE is gone" articles are clickbait but this one gets it closer to the truth: DOGE is not gone, it just claims to have "no centralized leadership" anymore -- in other words, its leadership is hiding in an attempt to avoid blame.
DOGE no longer has ‘centralized leadership’ under White House tech team, personnel head says
The team that was altered to house DOGE — formerly the U.S. Digital Service — is also still doing its own technology work across agencies.

People need food. Market won’t provide it. Government should. It’s literally the whole point.
Turns out Mamdani's controversial proposal for government-run supermarkets isn't so novel. Other cities also are toying with the idea to bring fresh, affordable food to communities that do not have easy access to it. Good WSJ read (gift link)

Without a vaccine, experts say the virus poses an escalating threat: “The minute it transmits to humans, it’s done.”

It found a 68% reduction in suicidality for trans youth getting HRT.

It also found only 7 of more than 400 stopped taking HRT... and of those that did, 4 still identified as gender-diverse.

Moments ago: tenants of the South Shore apartment building that federal immigration agents raided at the end of September held a presser to announce they're forming a tenants union.

They're demanding, among other things, sewage removal and heat and electricity restroration.
