This is an outstanding way to destroy this tool for future use, and as an effective threat, because federal courts will be loathe to allow Trump to destroy a US Senator for criticizing him.
And it will also alienate a ton of officers.

@democrats.senate.gov If you're going to cave over SNAP benefits because you think he's going to let people starve, at least wait until SCOTUS gives him permission to. Maybe hell will freeze over and a 5-4 majority orders him to fully fund during the shutdown. - Remember TACO!
