If a foreigner becomes a Barca fan they know what they are getting into. They are supporting a club based in Barcelona. This isn’t hard. Supporting a club should mean you understand this minimum thing. It’s fine to travel for preseason but come on

ICE is not only chasing down every random brown person in Chicago, they have a cameraman following them to film this for social media. Cruelty and inhumanity as content.

I’d missed this absolutely insane report that Miller nearly got the 82nd Airborne deployed here. I just can’t wrap my head around the fact that this lunatic has not encountered even the smallest bit of scrutiny from anyone in Congress or the media.
kvetch.gay
this is wild: while Stephen Miller's guy was in Minnesota for his uncle's funeral, somebody was able to see his entire phone and take pictures of his Signal group chats talking about military deployments to Portland, and brought them to the Strib (gift link: www.startribune.com/trump-offici...)

It should be UEFA banning the practice. USSoccer fought against the move in US courts and lost, but the source of the issue is the demand for UEFA teams to play abroad. Australia is in the mix this round as well, so it’s clear UEFA should just put a stop to it before it becomes standard practice.

BREAKING: Columbus Crew midfielder and MLS legend Darlington Nagbe is retiring after the 2025 MLS season, per sources.

Nagbe, 35, is a four-time MLS Cup winner (2015, 2018, 2020, 2023) with three clubs (Portland, Atlanta, Columbus).

One of MLS's best-ever midfielders 👏

Darlington Nagbe with 2023 MLS Cup in Diego Valeri’s post Darlington
Darlington
Selfishness doesn't fit into team sports. The ball must be shared. However, Darlington Nagbe could very well keep it at his feet for an entire match, and I bet no one would take it away.
The captain of Columbus is a humble soul and an outstanding
football player.
I met him 10 years ago, and he was a dazzling right winger with a scoring touch. Today, he's a midfielder who understands everything his team needs. Because this is "his" team.
The quiet little man empowers himself when he plays. That's how he speaks. In silence, he mourns injustices and savors the candies of pain. This profession has its gray clouds. Nagbe is a sun. He grows on the field, his smile shines on the stage, holding a trophy in his hands, as he did in every club he played for.
If I ever have grandchildren and they ask about soccer in the
United States, I will tell them that I played with him.

Extremely on point, sadly:

“I will also say the patient and productive patterns of play the Sounders strung together on their goal? The Timbers don’t do that. And I don’t think that’s solely a mentality thing.”
