I hope the Riyadh festival kills the self-serving pretence that comedians are typically fearless truth-tellers, taboo-busters and champions of free speech. A few are. Most are just entertainers who like attention and money

not now, earth's core
Something surprising happening deep inside the Earth. Material from the core seems to be escaping into the mantle and up to the surface, revealing matter hidden for billions of years. #geology #planetaryscience
Earth’s Core Appears To Be Leaking Up and Out of Earth’s Surface | Quanta Magazine
Strong new evidence suggests that primordial material from the planet’s center is somehow making its way out. Continent-size entities anchored to the core-mantle boundary might be involved.

Librarian here. It's because library books eat old people.
A 7-year-study of 70,000 elderly people from 19 towns in Japan has found that the more public library books there are in a town, the fewer residents need long-term nursing care.

Visitor: “And what’s that small one?”

one of the funniest parts of catholicism is when a sweet and serious clergyperson is like "and here is the saint's body part, perfectly preserved by their sanctity" and draws a curtain or opens a gold box to show u the most rotten-ass zombie arm you've ever seen and u have to be like "ah yes i see"
