I don't have a huge amount of skin in the RetroAchievements game (I like the concept, I've thought every RA list I've looked at for any game I'm interested in is total ass) but people trying to make the slippery slope argument about a terrible romhack are colossal losers

If I were the CEO of a social media platform I would simply not willfully misinterpret a quote about how people willfully misinterpret things and instead ban transphobes from my platform, but, sure, you can wilfully tank your PR and destroy any goodwill that users have, that works too.

The two things anybody wants from a social media platform are

1) a chronological list of posts from people the user has chosen to follow and nobody else
2) banning fascists/bigots

The fact that somehow every single platform including this one manages to fail one or both of these is infuriating
