If we stand aside when others are threatened, we can expect others to do the same when it's our turn over the barrel.
Canada needs to get in on this in a robust way, and show support for Greenland, Denmark, and other northern European allies, for two important reasons: 1) It's the right thing to do. 2) We could very well be next.
Sweden’s Prime Minister, in a new statement on Greenland:

“We will not let ourselves be blackmailed… Sweden is now having intensive discussions with other EU countries, Norway, and the United Kingdom for a coordinated response.”

Honestly disappointed Canada wasn’t included on this. We’re obviously not doing enough to support Greenland and Denmark.
Trump imposes tariffs on European countries (Denmark, Norway, Sweden, France, Germany, The United Kingdom, The Netherlands, and Finland) over Greenland.

This is getting ridiculous!

US government's policy toward the Big 3 automakers—encouraging them to invest in massive, US-only SUVs & trucks, now encouraging them to underinvest in EVs—has reinforced their global irrelevance.

When countries get hooked on US tech, their governments are constrained in reining in tech’s harms while most of the economic benefits accrue to the United States.

It’s time to break out of that trap — but that means challenging the Silicon Valley model, not creating our own digital colonizers.
