Hmmmm, has she told the countries of origin? Worked out how she will set up returns agreements? Costed it? Nope, thought not, otherwise she would not be suggesting it.
You fairly obviously can't just drop people off in another country without that country's agreement.

People seeking asylum have survived torture, war, abuse, and the violent loss of loved ones. Under this scheme, they are now thrown into prison-like detention facilities and often trapped in small cells for up to 12 hours a day. Detention causes great harm to their health.

The Home Sec’s harmful, inaccurate “last minute legal challenges” rhetoric + claims of modern slavery system misuse has not calmed an environment where NGOs have closed offices for safety fears.

Now that the UK government has, finally, announced formal recognition of a Palestine state, the next step, among others, needs to be providing a safe route for Palestinians to seek asylum in the UK from what is unequivocally a genocide being committed against them in Gaza. Otherwise it's just words.

Permanent settlement in the UK helps people put down roots in communities and fulfil their potential. But Reform don’t want that.

Instead, they want to crash the already-struggling economy and tear people’s lives apart by making them "foreigners" forever.

Retrospectively removing indefinite leave to remain would be immoral and economically damaging. It would tear families apart.
Attacking it as ‘potentially illegal’ is completely beside the point.
Argue with the (awful) idea. Don’t try ’well, actually you can’t do that’.

Thousands of Londoners have indefinite leave to remain.

They have legal rights and are our friends, neighbours and colleagues, contributing hugely to our city.

Threatening to deport people living and working here legally is unacceptable.

Spoke to @bigissue.com about how claiming scaling up Labour's "one in one out" policy 10-20x would be a "compassionate" approach to an asylum system is delusional.

It would further undermine protections for modern slavery victims, and people would still need asylum.

The scheme has been beset with foreseeable problems. Screening for vulnerabilities and age is not working and the system designed to get people legal advice has predictably failed. The only way to stop this chaos is to end this deal urgently: www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2025...

Hear Fessahaye's story: he fled torture and slavery, only to be detained in the UK and threatened with removal under the new asylum deal. Detention is harsh, harmful, and wholly unsuitable for those fleeing war, torture, and persecution.

Many of those detained under this policy are survivors of torture and trafficking.

Most would agree that torture and trafficking survivors should have their cases heard before they are deported. They are entitled to access to justice, just like everyone else.
