If you have to train students to recognize when a *university provided* resource is lying to them, maybe the university should not provide that resource.

All of the money that changed hands in the Teapot Dome scandal totaled less than $10 million after adjusting for inflation, and it was considered so corrupt we still teach it in high school government classes a century later.
Corruption so pungent, it wafts right off the page:

Lobbyists who do pardon deals “say their going rate is $1 million. Pardon-seekers have offered some lobbyists close to the president success fees of as much as $6 million if they can close the deal.”

1) Arresting someone random while he's shopping for groceries on the eve of a holiday is vile

2) The video appears to show the agents loading the groceries into the arrested man's trunk. I have no idea what the source of the claim that they are divvying up his food is.

Be careful what you amplify
ICE detain father shopping on Christmas Eve—then steal his family's groceries.

Then 3 agents divvy up his paid for food—taking what they want for themselves.

"Can I just get the wife's number to call and let her know?" woman asks.

"No, guess he should've complied," agent says.

This is called “paying taxes,” especially when you make an unconscionable amount of money for doing stupid shit.
He isn't "losing" this money. This is called "paying tax like a responsible citizen and not hiding your money offshore" and we need to start recognising and applauding it.

There's one contested special election tonight, for a Trump+35 House seat in SC. A couple of notes:

One, Chuck Hightower is just the second Dem to contest this seat in 30+ years. Two, the only other SC special this year saw a *36-point* D overperformance. www.the-downballot.com/p/morning-di...

Must have been an honest mistake
On DOGE’s watch, federal spending did not go down at all. It went up. But is still led to cuts that closed offices, canceled programs and deprived people of food, medicine and other aid.

Oh yeah: Before the ACA, not only did you have to provide your entire medical history to the insurance company, YOU had to do all the leg work to dig up copies of all of it, often including paying fees to get a copy of your X-rays, prescriptions, etc.

This was before everything was online, too.
Sure: I'm a cancer survivor.

I had a low-grade osteosarcoma removed from my right femur in 1997 under my parents' HMO. Margins were clean; no radiation/chemo required. I had 5+ years of X-ray follow-ups confirming that it's gone. Still gone today. However, it remains a preexisting condition.⚕️

In 2016, when Russia first moved to demand payback for getting Trump elected, they tested two envoys to get to Trump. First, a buddy of Jared Kushner's. Then, W/DMITRIEV SPECIFICALLY, W/Erik Prince.

Prince & Bannon then deleted texts about what went on.

The plan has literally not changed at all.
Did you know that the US hasn’t had an ambassador in Moscow in 6 months?

Or that our chief envoy to Russia won’t take briefings from the CIA?

But wait, there’s more. Much more in this 6-byline WSJ piece on the Witkoff-Putin axis.
