I say this every time de-extinction comes up: it makes no sense to devote science to bringing back extinct animals when we can’t be bothered to keep extant ones alive in the first place.

Painting nodosaurids today: here's one I made earlier (2023), the Late Cretaceous European genus Stuthiosaurus. We don't know much about this species but the spines on the hips are notable, apparently being welded to the sacral shield. Drawn for @palaeogames.bsky.social. #paleoart #dinosaurs #sciart

The White House is saying Canada misunderstood the tariffs as a trade war & it feels eerily similar to when men hit on women relentlessly- then act like they didn't mean it when women do not reciprocate. Huge "It was just a joke, it's not that serious" vibes. Canada did not misunderstand anything.
