Thunderbolts* is not the first film to tackle mental illness and PTSD, but it gets to the heart of PTSD and accurately depicts the ways your illness will trick your brain in a manner that few films have actually accomplished.
Lots of folks giving their end of the year movie takes, and I gotta say some of the takes I'm reading about Thunderbolts* display a profound level of ignorance and lack of understanding regarding mental illness. I pray the people in your life suffering from mental illness get far away from you.

Really, the far more apt analogy would be "I hired exterminators to get rid of the roaches and it worked, but then four years later the roaches came back and I refused to hire the exterminators again. Why should I pay for them twice? It's their fault their methods didn't work forever."
People don't understand how politics works, or, apparently, how exterminators work. It's maintenance, people. Neither democracy nor the possibility of pests wanting to come in and eat your food are permanently "won."

The problem with this analogy is that; rather than cockroaches, the Republicans 'in the house' are your roommates. They're real people, with agency and lives.
