God, one of my favorite moments in BLUE VELVET when Jeffery enters the apartment complex and the whole soundscape just *changes* into this just barely noticeable but unsettling as hell droning.
One thing that every David Lynch film has in common is that he loved really dense sound design. If you don't have big speakers, it's worth watching any of them with good headphones. There is a *lot* of detail to be heard.

We need to stop thinking just about what will hurt Trump, and start thinking about what will hurt the next iteration of GOP leaders. Trump is a lame duck, he's finished as a candidate. His acolytes are very much just getting started. And Epstein is radioactive for them.

I remember seeing the Russian word for "boogeyman" and it was similar enough that I think it was derived from Baba Yaga and the guy that wrote the movie got them confused.
remember when they called John Wick "Baba Yaga" because they thought it meant "real cool killer who's maybe a ghost" and then they found out it was a witch who lives in a hut that's held up by chicken legs and then they didn't call him that anymore
