DHS is shutting down. Why? Because Democrats took an oath of office to uphold the Constitution and ICE is lawless and out of control. We cannot fund an agency that is murdering our citizens, tear gassing school zones, and disappearing legal immigrants.

If Moderna is no longer bringing vaccine trials for Epstein-Barr virus (good evidence that EB causes Multiple Sclerosis), herpes, and shingles because of Trump appointees, I want prison time for those appointees.

This might be dooming millions to disease they don’t have to experience.

Jeanine Pirro tried to jail six Democratic Congress members for accurately stating the Uniform Code of Military Justice.

She will forever be a person who has done that and must always be viewed through that prism.
It’s great that the grand jury said nix, but the attempt was a significant escalation.
Grand juries keep seeing through the Trump DOJ's naked attempts to intimidate critics and political rivals — this time for accurately stating that illegal orders must be disobeyed. www.nytimes.com/2026/02/10/u...

Bloomberg reviewed the data and found drivers outside the congestion zone are actually seeing benefits.

The person to watch is David Rubenstein, who has poured millions in philanthropy into the Kennedy Center, is not going to be pleased about this, and has money, ego, and patriotism long enough to sustain a long-ass legal battle.

Particularly since his cash isn't crypto.

👇🎯 Not once has the national media asked a GOP politician about affording ICE the way Biden/the Dems were asked about the cost of
student loan debt relief & literally everything else for the last 50 years.
Folks are dying from winter storms and the power has been out for a week but the government can spend big money on detention camps. bsky.app/profile/cost...
How many times in your life have you heard a member of Congress or someone on TV say “we can’t afford it” when talking about something small but very important? It’s been happening my entire life. We can’t afford it? They’re putting seven times the annual budget of the EPA into immigrant detention.

There are no longer huddled masses at the Statue of Liberty. Instead, we see ICE agents terrorizing our cities.

Our government no longer believes that its power comes from the consent of the governed. Instead, Trump believes power comes from threats and force.

Akiva points out one of the glimmers of hope here: this administration has utterly lost the presumption of regularity, at least among honest judges.

It may be that DoJ will never recover it, which, as a defense lawyer, I think is not a bad thing.
Understand that 370 days ago even bringing a motion like this would probably have been treated as sanctionably frivolous

Today it was granted ex parte

The civil rights movement called its protests "demonstrations" because they were meant to demonstrate to the general public just how evil the status quo was and how depraved its defenders were.

ICE is actually worse than Connor -- he had to be goaded into overreaching, they're doing it on their own
it really is government by a bunch of bull connors. basically walking into traps set for them by their opposition. connor also did not understand that beating the hell out of demonstrators was *what they wanted*
