The 2024 Little Richard documentary, I Am Everything, is currently streaming on C4 in the UK. Ignore the usual talking heads who appear at the start as this is excellent. Particularly good on the "queer" subculture of the American South. youtu.be/4YC8WUrWtZY?...

I second @mole9.bsky.social’s Peter Gabriel comments. Its a show which would usually be a no brainer and we discussed it for a while when tickets were announced. But even the restricted views were £95 or thereabouts in Manchester. Add to that travel and hotels and it wasn’t a viable proposition.

Congratulations to all who fought for it and the present and future artists of all sorts in Ireland. That includes me 👌We’re just comin to the end of a 3 year pilot scheme. It’s been a roaring success. For every €1 paid out to the 2000 participants, the government got €1.46 back. Can’t argue with that. Other countries are already taking note."

Between those polls and the election which the Tories won there was the Falklands War, which really shook things up. If that hadn’t happened who knows what the outcome would be.

Polls this far out are indeed a nonsense, but its as much about the unpredictable future as the unreliability of stats.
