Heritage & hope again in 2021. For years, I had students engage w/ these govt sanctioned representations of cultural, religious, gender, & racial diversity- the potential, the limitations. Now diversity is being sanctioned and erased. Good thing I downloaded most of the archives...Happy HHM!

In 2010, a message in English and Spanish suggested that Hispanic Americans, heritage, diversity, integrity, and honor are the hope of America. In 2019, a DEOMI poster highlighted Hispanic Americans as "Essential to the Blueprint of our Nation". #HispanicHeritageMonth

Did you know the Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute (of the DOD) created & disseminated materials related to diversity since the 90s? The materials, like this 2009 HHM poster, used to be in the public domain. In compliance w/ EO 14151 the archive was deleted. #HispanicHeritageMonth
