The @poptartsbowl.com "honored the legacy" of the previously eaten pop tarts at the last 2 bowl games by giving jackets to cardboard pictures of them, poorly.

When we climbed the tower high above the canopy along the Madre de Dios river, we faced several Russet-backed Oropendula nests--which hang down maybe 8'. Here is one surveying the scene after feeding the young'uns inside! 💛🖤💛 #Amazon #Peru #birding

Vincent van Gogh, Landscape with Snow, 1888. Van Gogh painted this scene in late February of 1888, soon after he arrived in Arles in the South of France. While that region is generally known as a sunny clime, Van Gogh arrived during a record cold spell www.guggenheim.org/artwork/1486

This is a more poorly lit eye, but it was physically closer, so i was more willing to risk a slower shutter speed(1/500) to get the ISO down(450).

Great opportunity when it was a captive audience! (drinking from a feeder) 🪶

I snapped this one in Death Valley National Park in a Joshua Tree forest called Lee Flat in September. I'm still a ways from where I'd like to be in the Astrophotography world but I'm pretty motivated to get it down. Photos aside, just being out there under those skies is life-changing! #photography

This is a brilliant thread. It rips up a woefully inadequate guide to AI for teachers. In fact, the thread rips up the manual, stomps on it, and then throws it in the dumpster.
Thanks for sharing this document, @rweingarten.bsky.social.

I read it, and I believe it's inexcusably inadequate and will not prepare teachers or schools to confront the very real dangers of the "A.i." products pushed by your partners, including OpenAI.

A few thoughts for your consideration...

TY to everyone who commented in my last post. I promise I’ll respond, but I’ve been busy prepping food and wrapping last minute gifts 😅.

I've started to see arguments that we have to get used to AI Slop coding even if it isn't great, because it's fast. Humans could go faster, too, if they're allowed to turn in stuff that only sometimes works. Such a fascinating double standard that will in no way come back to haunt, naw.

We climbed a 115' canopy tower along the Madre de Dios River (absolutely terrifying) in the Peruvian Amazon. This White-throated Toucan arrived and started destroying Yellow-rumped Cacique nests looking for nestlings. Stunning! 🖤🤍💙 #Toucan #Amazon #Peru

On October 26th, 1952, in her studio on West Twenty-third Street, Helen Frankenthaler painted “Mountains and Sea.” It was a turning point for her career and for art history both. newyorkermag.visitlink.me/k385RI
It Takes Only Five Paintings to See Helen Frankenthaler’s Genius
In a small show at MOMA, Frankenthaler seems to make paint its own living force, untouched by the hand of an artist.
