David Frost with an absolute cracker here. Who among us hasn't wondered when the slow political news cycle of 2026 would finally become exciting?

Oak National Academy has been a regular advertiser on Twitter/X in recent months. Their decision to fund such a toxic platform seems all the more questionable given that they are a public body, sponsored by the UK's Department for Education.

I suspect Jenrick's read this. The idea that Farage, *any* Tory who backed Brexit/Johnson/Truss or the media that cheered it all on can somehow disassociate themselves from the messes they made is palpably nuts...
So in Brexit Britain it will almost certainly happen.

A viral comparison of the government support received by pensioners compared to “illegal immigrants” and refugees is doing the rounds once again on social media.

The figures in the post are still wrong.

This is despair-inducingly poor journalism. Petty crime - like having your phone pinched or shoplifting (two of the key examples used in the article) - isn’t a harbinger of imaginary ‘chaos creep’, it demonstrates that major, serious crime is down and criminals are resorting to ever pettier methods
London may be safer – but it is suffering “chaos creep”

It’s unsettling to live in a city where the state seems unable to stop petty crime

The more info we get about this raid, the worse it becomes. ICE had NO valid warrant (administrative warrants do not authorize forceful entry into a home), the guy's sole prior conviction was a since-dismissed drug charge from 2008, AND he had checked in with ICE just days earlier.

Just so people outside of MN know - a lot of the US citizens getting “arrested” by ICE never get processed at Whipple. They are roughed up during the arrest and then often dropped off miles from where they were picked up. It means we don’t know the true scale of what ICE is doing based on ICE stats

This is exactly the opposite.

Your civil rights are being infringed upon by CBP and ICE, and then they want to call in troops claiming that they’re protecting CBP and ICE.
