The number of people who just assume that European soccer is better with absolutely no evidence to prove that is exhausting. And they just keep making it worse
We, as a nation, have invested more and cared more about women's soccer than any nation on the planet, but our soccer inferiority complex is so strong we've just unabashedly cowered in front of Europe the second they decided they'd pay attention.

Instead of raising the cap and benefiting all the players on all the rosters that make this league great, we’re being stupid. The players like Rose Kouassi or Sveindis or Sam Staab that will be absolutely fucked by this deserve better. The players at the bottom of rosters deserve better
