The wrecking ball DOGE swung at the Social Security Administration has now resulted in the data of over 340 million Americans being compromised.
In light of last week's revelation that DOGE mishandled Social Security data and violated the Hatch Act, @kjboyle.bsky.social looks back at DOGE's activity at SSA.

From dismantling customer service operations to using SSA data to surveil immigrants, DOGE agents must be accountable for much more.

CEOs of Minnesota companies, including Target and Hormel, say they're pushing against ICE's occupation.

But their industry trade groups actively lobbied for Trump's Big Ugly Bill, which boosted ICE's budget by $75B.

The only Dem senator now supporting ICE funding is married to a woman who came to the US "illegally" as an undocumented immigrant when she was seven years old.

What happened to that guy? And how does Gisele feel about all this?
I have looked up EVERY Democrat Senator's statements on DHS funding: only ONE Senate Dem is a YES vote.

John Fetterman.

Here are the statements if you want to read them for yourself.

After executing Alex Pretti on Saturday, ICE has shifted to primarily targeting bus stops and elementary schools in my community this week. I cannot overstate how much of the ICE activity in my community is just targeting places where little kids are.
Video from this morning shows ICE agents deploying tear gas outside a Minneapolis preschool as parents shout, “This is a preschool! There’s kids here!”

We are now receiving good signals from Europe about the readiness of Europeans to put more active pressure on the aggressor. It is very important that this is pressure, in particular, on the Russian tanker fleet - on the entire infrastructure of Russian oil exports.

Your regular reminder that but for the Supreme Court unanimously ruling — on political rather than legal grounds — that the 14th Amendment doesn’t say what it actually fucking says, Donald Trump would likely be in prison right now.

The biggest risk in this moment is something sociologists call “symbolic compliance.”

That’s when an institution that is violating civil rights gives the public just enough symbolic victories that accountability efforts lose steam before there has been any meaningful change.

Exactly right.

Bovino's leaving? Great, get Noem to resign.

Noem resigns? Great, defund and dismantle ICE.

Go after Stephen Miller too. Bring charges against ICE thugs at the state and local level. Lawsuits. New state laws restricting them.

Every possible angle.
They are wounded and flailing. Press the advantage.

- Organized a city wide general strike
- Maintained nonviolent discipline amidst violence
- Mobilized 10,000s in subzero temps to protest and watch ICE
- Flipped public opinion against ICE

ICE murdered Renée Good in broad daylight. Less than 3 weeks later, they killed Alex Pretti, shooting him 10 times. Every day, we watch as people are ripped from their cars, their homes, their lives.

We can't allow ourselves to look away from this cruelty. Abolish ICE.

And what is happening inside ICE detention centers? 404 Media also learned that the federal government claimed that the day after it was sued for allegedly abusing detainees at an ICE detention center, a “system crash” deleted nearly two weeks of surveillance footage from inside the facility.
ICE Says Critical Evidence In Abuse Case Was Lost In 'System Crash' a Day After It Was Sued
The government also said "we don't have resources" to retain all footage and that plaintiffs could supply "endless hard drives that we could save things to."
