Trump has called the press “fake news” and called individual reporters derogatory terms. In this environment, our journalists have found that their efforts to get the real story and be fair were vilified rather than appreciated. Condemned, not commended. ICYMI, my column:
Our Reporters Reached Out for Comment. They Were Accused of Stalking and Intimidation.
Our journalists reach out to people they’re writing about to ensure fairness. But in this environment, they’ve found their efforts to do so are more likely to be vilified than appreciated.

Increase in productivity since 1979: 87%

Increase in hourly pay since 1979: 32%

Just so happens that ~25% of workers were unionized in 1979. Today? 10%.

As unions declined, the super-rich have taken a larger share of wealth generated by labor. We must build back union power.

You've been hit by a car and you're fading in and out. You ask the EMTs to price the ambulance ride. You get to the ER and tell the docs you'll need a price on each service before it's done. You get cancer so it's time to put treament out to competitive bid. I can keep going...
Roger Marshall: "We want patients to become consumers again. We want patients to see what the actual prices are. We believe that if we would add the price tags to this bill, that it would save the country a trillion dollars a year."

Yes, but the pressure has to also be on Republicans who are helping Trump cover up his illegal killings by refusing to use congressional power to compel release of these documents.

I wrote in September about how DOJ is slow-walking the cases challenging Trump’s executive orders targeting law firms.

That hasn’t changed.

As I report at Law Dork, a move this week from DOJ keeps up this slow-walking of these bad cases — and moves the appeals well into 2026.
DOJ's slow-walking of the law firm cases continues, pushing appeals well into 2026
The Trump admin has often rushed to the Supreme Court this year. In the law firm cases, though, DOJ — even though it lost below — is moving the appeals as slowly as possible.

i don’t think he was supposed to post this. this is a company lobbying for medical cannabis, specifically for medicare coverage of it, and i think they made a whole commercial for an audience of one. “YOU will…” “cementing YOUR legacy,” millions will
