I willing to be Americans would be willing to give up begging insurance companies to approve treatment that their doctors have already prescribed
I think people assume UHC is what they want it to be rather than understanding the nuance and details. Yes it’s been done all around the world. But there are very significant different cultural differences and expectations in other countries. We don’t like to give up anything, or pay more

Other countries don’t have armies of administrators, insurers, and pharma marketing expenses inflating the costs and lowering the quality of everyone’s healthcare

the idea it’s some impossible to figure out problem is absurd
I would love to see a version of UHC here.

No one on here wants to address issues. They just want the magical fairy dust version of UHC to suddenly appear.

Other countries do it so ….

We aren’t other countries
So you're proposing keeping an existing broken system (healthcare) because we hsve doctors and nurses in debt from another broken system (education loans). When do we tackle the broken systems that are bankrupting people?

mr warren needs to be in the mix
Why the Bears decided to post this three days before their biggest home game in seven years is ... beyond me.

I think the Bears should have to submit a map that shows how far from Chicago they would have to go to stop calling themselves the Chicago Bears

There are a few special games every season, but I think "Philip Rivers didn't hear no bell because he literally couldn't hear the bell" is probably my most anticipated since The Kendall Hinton Game

Here's another week-to-week DVOA graph, this time the Chicago Bears. You can see how good the last two games are, but also that a couple of their wins have negative DVOA, especially Week 4 against the Raiders.

this has less to do with AI and more to do with Google being a monopoly, not paying creators enough for display ads, and making it impossible to make money posting information on the open web
Google at its peak was basically the best information retrieval system in human history and they and every competitor decided going from there to “you didn’t want answers you wanted half-assed auto-complete 80%-wrong hallucinations” in a few years was the right idea

This is the definition of the slippery slope fallacy.

Arguing that votes should be given equal weight regardless of geography does not equate to arguing that states should not exist.

An inside linebacker who was signed midseason to help shore up the Raiders special teams units, Rhattigan has a more wide-ranging description for himself. That of a complete football player.

Disciplining players for one series is a hilarious NFL tradition.

Genuinely insane take, stop being fooled famous people’s reputational PR

she could do 100x more good by quietly giving out scholarships to people working on the issue and elevating their work

trying to cosplay as a lawyer herself is pure vanity and megalomania
/3 Meanwhile, she actually gives a shit about carceral culture and has used fame and influence to try to encourage clemency in actual cases impacting actual lives. I have the bog-standard old man view of Kardashian Kulture, but her heart seems to be in the right place on this.

The pro-love, anti-mlf sentiment is real weird

coach: got old man Rodgers 2 mvps + made Malik Willis look like a starting nfl Qb

qb: occasionally looks really good and also occasionally looks like Commanders version of Carson Wentz
Love is one of the last live by the sword/die by the sword type QBs in the nfl. His ceiling is incredible. He just has some bozo gene in him.

Out: Luther Burden III, Roschon Johnson, Dominique Robinson, D'Andre Swift

Questionable: Amen Ogbongbemiga

It'll be the Kyle Monangai show on Sunday in Cincinnati. Look for Brittain Brown to be called up from the practice squad.

so much love and admiration for the people of chicago telling fascists to fuck off on the daily
Border Patrol's Greg Bovino likes to say his agents are welcomed by 99 percent of people in Chicago but as they drive around the city, they're met with constant shouts of "get the fuck out of here!"
