It’s so appalling
Such an unprofessional and unserious group of grifters in charge of our governement's health departments
A year ago, Tracy Hoeg was selling people unproven therapies (like injecting your own blood into your knees) for cash. She is trained in physical medicine & rehabilitation, & does not have any relevant background for this position other than being a prolific & extreme antivaxxer and disease promoter

We are past the point when advocates need to think long and hard if they are complicit in legitimizing current HHS leadership by participating in agency promotion of policy changes. Advocates shouldn't give any legitimacy to Prasad, Makary, Kennedy & others by sharing a microphone.
Big change: FDA to impose strict new vaccine requirements under RFK Jr ally

Vinay Prasad signaled changes to annual flu shots, concurrent vaccines + more

#TipsForNewDocs

I really try to be super nice to nurses, techs etc I work with mostly because why not, makes it better for everyone but also has the added benefits of they help me out, point out when I may have erred, invite to eat at potlucks, and when I have less common requests are happy to help
i say thank you to the bus driver when i get on and yell thank you when i get off every day i ride the bus, and i take two buses to and from work, being nice and friendly costs you nothing and should be your default expectation for yourself because it improves your day and everyone else’s day

The last month of the anti-Mamdani campaign was an absolutely shameful undertaking, an attempt to rip the city and Democratic coalition apart and I'm very happy to see it failed.

I suppose I should make a prediction, this is the most confident I've been heading into an election since 2019. I just don't think that people like any of this shit.

Finding pediatric COVID vaccination appointments in NYC has been a challenge (peds offices I've spoken to don't have the vaccine in yet). CVS/Walgreens pharmacies don't vax younger kids. CVS Minute Clinic seems like the best option so far, (though there are only a few sites).

Exclusive at WaPo: RFK Jr's aides are prepping new bid to crack down on covid vaccine by linking it to 25 child deaths

They appear to be citing submissions to vaccine-report database VAERS — despite caution that it's unreliable.

We think this reflects the incentives in Medicare Advantage to have very tight networks of nursing homes that they cover and requiring prior authorization. This has been the subject of congressional reports and intense scrutiny.

Overall, we estimate that longer hospital stays for Medicare Advantage patients are contributing to close to 2 million extra hospital bed days occupied by people who don't need to be there any more annually. This is a huge waste and bad for patient care.

Why is this happening?
