IME, be sure to say you want to opt out of the photo BEFORE you give them your ID. Different airports/agents may vary. Last summer an agent wouldn't let me opt out after I gave him my ID, but last month at a different airport (when I was stressed and running on automatic) that agent did.
Worth adding that u can decline having your photo taken by TSA in the security line and show ID instead. You just have to tell the agent. It might be a drop in the bucket but it’s something.

I've played 133 escape rooms, and this may be my favorite thing out of any of them. It's an accessibility panel that gives players direct control over sound volume and flashing lights. (Plus it directs them to other accessibility options elsewhere in the room.)
