I have an electric leafblower (not by choice, it came free with another appliance) and I find occasional uses for it, like keeping weed trimmings off the sidewalk or blowing leaves away from the pool. but mostly I leave the leaves cuz I love fireflies and bees and other bugs that overwinter in them!

you do have to do it in a couple of places but this tutorial makes it easy to go uncheck the boxes that otherwise lets Google's AI read all your shit. or move everything over to protonmail but moving everything over is a giant thing I know.
Google has started automatically opting you in to let it read your stuff to train AI. You need to turn this off in SEVERAL places in your settings (not just for Gmail), if you want to maintain privacy and confidentiality.

Just so it's clear. It's not allowing AI because it's trying to create a clean dataset for training AI. It's not because any of the involved parties actually care about human created art.

Today there was an attempted ICE raid in Bensonhurst & community members showed up. Even though NYPD collaborated with ICE by trying to disburse the crowd; community members stood their ground & ICE left without kidnapping a single person per the rapid response groups I'm on. We protect us!

one idea in the video I just posted is that a lot of modern films are shot "flat" - with the bare minimum in choices being made (lighting, costumes, etc.) so they can change their minds later. this clicked so hard with me, because if there's one thing that defines art, it's making choices
