An update from Freida Parton so it sounds like Dolly isn't well, but she's not *that* unwell. Still at 79 any illness isn't good so I'm still hoping she's fine because she's clearly got so much to give still and makes the world a better place just by being in it.

If you are making a video game and can't afford voice actors, instead of using AI just read the fucking lines yourself.

Doesn't matter what you sound like, how good the recording is, people will be far less likely to go "ugh this fucking sucks" moments into your game.

Suck less.

People would happily play a game where the dev is struggling for their life to not laugh while sephiroth speaking as the villain, whereas with AI voices they'll instantly shut that shit off and imagine the dev being eaten by wild pigs.
