FIFA has turned a blind eye to the Saudis use of slave labor to build its stadia and infrastructure for the 2034 World Cup. FIFA has been involved in multiple high-level bribery scandals. They have no shame at all. They will never be embarrassed or ashamed b/c they have no morality.
I have to believe that one day people who participated in groveling displays like this will be embarrassed and ashamed of their actions.

"How do I make my boss happy?" is the question that dominates the mind of every little authoritarian, and they instinctively assume it's on everyone else's mind as well.
Hassett: "The way to think about what AI & its agents can do is they can act as if they're the best coach you've ever had. And so while you're trying to figure out, how do I make my boss happy? It's like you've got a coach right there with you every step of the way."

The first rule of babies is "don't kill the baby."

The CDC no longer follows that rule.
Breaking: After contentious debates and three failed attempts at a vote, a federal vaccine committee decided on Friday to end the decades-long recommendation that all newborns be immunized at birth against hepatitis B.

There used to be at least a veneer of being a constitutional republic. The entire kayfabe has been abandoned.
To average Americans these rulings come out of the blue, because there's no oral argument and less focus on the shadow docket. And when the Court fails to explain its emergency rulings, they undermine their own legitimacy because they appear to be acting in an unprincipled way.

No community should be forced to bear the weight of a system that profits from human suffering.

Private, for-profit prisons have no place in a fair and free democracy—and especially profiting off the suffering of an inhumane and undemocratic detention system.

Period.

Ballot #5 is from a voter who wishes to remain anonymous. As a refresher, we are unable to report adds or drops, if any, on anonymous ballots.

This is the first ever known David Wright-only ballot. There will not be a unanimous inductee this year.
