The day Smallpox was eradicated should be an international holiday. December 9th should stand as a memorial that not only can we change the world for the better, but that the entire world can band together in cooperation to do so. A reminder for all of us, each year, that better things are possible.

Any #gamedev need a writer for their team, or someone to bounce ideas off of? I'd love to write all the background stuff, help keep your game on-theme, write out 500 combat barks/dialog options, find and fill plot holes, whatever!

Dems backed Trump into a corner where he’s advocating for starving Americans and hemorrhaging support. If they vote to let him off the hook in exchange for nothing it’s a cataclysmic failure. I know people are in pain but insulating Republicans from political consequences is not the answer.

This is one of the reasons I am pushing for Dec 9th, the day we eradicated Smallpox, to be recognized as a holiday.
We need to be reminded that diseases real and harmful, but that it is *possible to defeat them* (and any evil!) when people work together as one. Better things are possible!

I'm trying to get the date that Smallpox was eradicated, Dec 9th, recognized as a holiday. The effort that went in to completing this achievement should never be forgotten, and it's vital that we remember the power of unity, and that there is always hope that evils can be slain. #signalboost

Every time I see people talk about #aialignment or #aisafety, the lack of imagination on the part of AI researchers baffle me. Why would an AGI bother with intricate plans to take over when it could just (once we give full control to AI tools, because ofc we do) turn off water treatment and wait?
