@pentadact.com Replaying through TBW and this line is still a banger.

"I'm in this image and I don't like it."
A still image of a dialogue scene from a video game, where a character is talking to the dream version of herself.

Character: I like my insights with a little more compassion and a little less accuracy.

Dream version: I can't give you that. I'm the only person you have no compassion for.

Wait, is this the course? or an introduction to the course?

I'd rather just a link to the course. :D

I’m tempted to dunk, but ok, let’s engage seriously.

Putting Japanese-Americans in concentration camps was a fascist activity.

(And I think that if you were Japanese-American at the time, you were experiencing the US as a fascist country.)

Does that mean the US was fascist?

Wrong question.
shawnmcc.bsky.social
So I guess the US was also a fascist country when FDR was putting Japanese Americans in internment camps, right?

Listing the absolute least common thing first is misleading.

So is saying "at least one" when you mean "exactly one.'

Here's an example:

"I'm married to a woman."

vs

"I'm married to at least one woman."

It's misleading.
ewords.bsky.social
I think I got it now, thank you.
ewords.bsky.social
From just that screen cap alone, it would seem you were suggesting "re-identifying with their natal sex" was the majority of the 18%, and that would be very misleading.
ewords.bsky.social
I'm really confused by this, but I haven't felt comfortable asking bc I don't want to distract the convo.

I read the thread as being about people projecting ill intent into unrelated messages - and it seems like that's exactly what's happening.

I know I must be missing something, but what is it?

Technobabylon's on sale as part of the Steam sale again! So I must as always post this review to convince you to buy my favorite point-and-click adventure game. It's a hilarious and well-written cyberpunk/genepunk thriller and...well...see the review store.steampowered.com/app/307580/T...
Screenshot of a Steam review for the game Technobablyon by Nyaru:

Title: Tricked by the SJWs again!

Snap, they got me good.

Played just over 2 hours before they unleashed their agenda - suddenly I'm looking at interracial gay marriages and hagning out wiht minority trans people in a progressive paradize where it is the norm, as apparently nobody is even surprised by it.

Just past the refund period. Well, guess it's my own fault for taking my time and inspecting everything instead of rushing through the story.

EDIT: and now I found lesbians and a gay robot, and some other cringey thing I forgot.

Yeah, the fact that the organizational structures (business admin) now run the show, instead of the subject matter experts, is a legitimate problem.

Imagine hiring a payroll company, and then finding out they fired you and took over the business, with no idea of how to do it.

I mean yes this is funny, but the fact that these unconstitutional stormtroopers are so directionless that they literally stand around waiting for random nonwhite delivery guys to bike past them is just pathetic. No mandate, no mission, no clue. Just racism.

You can hardly see it due to the light, but Stephen Graham (who played Tommy) manages to keep his face neutral while a single, subtle tear runs down his cheek, while the other characters in the scene decide if it's easier to kill him.
ewords.bsky.social
When Tommy stands there, with the upside-down sweet-sick sound of "Golden Brown" playing in his ears, waiting to find out if they're going to kill him next, it perfectly captures the sullen, brooding, bruised feeling of sitting in the aftermath of a life-changing mistake.
