I can't describe how bad Minneapolis feels right now. My neighbors are pulling kids out of school. The public schools are offering remote learning until 2/12. We are having conversations in our alleys about how to protect ourselves. It feels like a military occupation with a blockade.

So it turns out that the Venezuela mission and snatching of Maduro was a law-enforcement not law of war undertaking. That’s the implication of the administration‘s reliance on the 1989 Barr memo. It is a violation of international law, but the memo suggests that’s OK to enforce domestic drug laws.

Im seeing discussions about consultations with congress, authorizations of force etc. I have to say this transcends any of what I would call sub constitutional technicalities.
