I was watching a video on youtube that played the "ATTACK WARNING RED" clip from Threads and I nearly fell out of my chair. Threads was one of those movies that really really fucks you up even though it is like over 40 years old. I watched it during Trump's first term during his fights with NK.

I just finished Lessons in Magic and Disaster by @charliejane.bsky.social a few minutes ago. As a queer person with a queer family (both chosen and blood) I was just struck by the complex family narrative Anders wove and how grounded it was despite the premise. I loved the book!
