The US is close to an institutional collapse across multiple public health agencies. Trump/RFK have purged anyone with expertise, many have fled and they’ve been replaced w functionaries who are either incompetent or malicious. I don’t think many understand how close to the edge we are right now.

#ArtAdventCalendar 4/24 originally shot on Tri X with an 80s Praktica in probably 2019 or thereabouts? Then I tinted a scan in photoshop. Forgot about it, recently rediscovered, stuck it up on the wall & decided it was OK after all. #photography #filmisnotdead #believeinfilm #oregoncoast

#ArtAdventCalendar Day 2: Diary Madrid
A visual diary or artist’s journal is a good way to observe, record thoughts, experiences & memories, use watercolor, pencil & ink, and do some urban sketching. Fun & meaningful.

#ArtAdventCalendar 2/24 this is a fast acrylic sketch on a small canvas I did last summer outside with my granddaughter, drinking a margarita and painting while she drew with crayons and played with Barbies.

Happy December! I took this photo a year or so ago and made the cyanotype print in late September. It has been toned (soaked, lol) with a mix of tea and coffee to turn it brown. #ArtAdventCalendar #art #cyanotype #altprocess

Four was playing in the living room and I was eavesdropping as she told a story. "What are you going to do," she said in an ominous voice, "in the time of the frogs?"

TRUMP [after spending 5 minutes with Zohran]: surplus value, it’s a very wonderful thing, very wonderful, and they’re stealing it. Can you believe that?

We’re going to be looking very strongly at the bourgeoisie, what they’re up to

This is really, really bad. MOST of the health care providers in rural areas are nurse practitioners or physicians assistants and there ALREADY aren't enough of them. Now there will be even less. Or, probably, none.

I am moving out of state and have an outdoor cat who is very skittish that I simply can’t take on a plane without risking life and limb. Would anyone in PDX like to adopt a moody gray lady? She could be fine inside a home with no other cats, she doesn’t tolerate them (hence outside). DM if so.
