Mine are all mismatched stuff bought at flea markets and thrift stores. I love an eclectic mixed up table. My daughter hates it, LOL, always wanted matching. Sometimes I fantasize about collecting old restaurant / diner ware but I'll never do it. I notice I too gravitate to blue.

the "White House demolition news" keeps reminding me of when my friend in Old Louisville wanted to a replace a window and it took months and thousands of dollars because of local Historic Preservation rules. it's possible her house was more historically notable than the White House though

My psycho drunk ex dragged a Nazi flag home late one night in 1991, saying he won it & it was worth a lot of money. I made him drag it right the fuck back out again & return it whence it came. Yes we knew Nazi shit was bad even in the 90s. Just adding this anecdata to the discourse of the day.

Trump is demolishing the East Wing of the White House and in a cursory look at all the major media headlines it seems that none of them include the words "the People's House" "illegal" "unapproved" "wanton destruction" "totally illegal" "so fucking wrong" & just, why?

Every time ancestry releases an update it becomes more apparent that my ancestors really did not get out much. What happened to my treasured 2% North African? Replaced by the Isle of Man? Yikes. It's time, come on British Isles, repatriate me, i'm tired of the US.

There's a big Russian / Ukrainian? contingent of mushroom hunters - from Portland i think - who come out to the coast every fall to hunt mushrooms. Judging by the few I have interacted with at all, they are a tough, focused, take no shit, bunch who are not here to make friends. So I can see it.
